We seek to educate and create awareness among both the citizenry and the policy makers or leaders
Civic education entails Democratic self-government whereby the citizens are actively involved in their own governance; they do not just passively accept the maxims of others or acquiesce to the demands of others.
Northern Advocacy seeks to educate and create awareness among both the citizenry and the policy makers or leaders on the importance of including Citizens in the governance process. We are geared towards providing opportunities and space for citizens to engage in public issues that affect them and to hold duty bearers accountable, as well as a neutral platform for civil activists, professionals, academia and public managers to engage in dialogue, critical debate, self-reflection and activism over a variety of issues that are critical to the citizen welfare and survival
Northern Advocacy champions for Capacity Building for grass roots civic manifesto promoters as drivers of citizens’ engagement in governance process which includes special groups such as women, youth and people living with disabilities.
